SWFCCP Back 'Show Racism The Red Card' Campaign!
On Thursday, 23rd November, Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme warmly welcomed over 90 young children from primary schools across Sheffield to Hillsborough Stadium for an important workshop delivered by 'Show Racism The Red Card'.
The children were treated to a tour of Hillsborough Stadium and received a surprise visit from SWFC assistant coach, Chris Powell, and player Liam Palmer, who both worked with the children to design anti-hate crime posters. They also educated them on the deeply negative impact racism can have and emphasised how important it is to kick it out at an early age.
Brett Pitcher, Community Coach at SWFCCP, said, "It was absolutely brilliant to see Chris and Liam supporting the event. Educating children at this young age is crucial in building a stronger and more inclusive future."
