Carvalhal and 2016 Play-Off Squad Return: Full Line-Up Confirmed

Sheffield Wednesday is delighted to confirm the full line-up for this weekend’s special charity fixture at Hillsborough – and it promises to be a fantastic afternoon at S6.

Taking place on Saturday, 9th May (2pm kick-off), Carlos Carvalhal returns to Hillsborough to lead a side packed with fan favourites from the unforgettable 2015/16 Play-Off squad.

The Wednesday XI will feature:

Lee Bullen, Kieran Westwood, Jack Hunt, Liam Palmer, Daniel Pudil, Steven Fletcher, Sam Hutchinson, Glenn Loovens, Tom Lees, Kieran Lee, Ross Wallace, Sam Winnall, Giles Coke, Jon-Paul McGovern and Graham Coughlan.

Carlos Carvalhal will take charge from the dugout.

They will take on a Community XI, made up of supporters who have generously donated to step onto the Hillsborough pitch and be part of this unique occasion.

The Community XI squad is:

Nick Bass (GK), Tom West, Ryan Goodison, Liam Mottram, Scott Austin, Andy Davenport, Wilson Green, Martyn Elshaw, Steve Walker, Chris Lait, Ryan Jones, Shaun McDonald, Tom Croggon, Chris Burns and Gavin Darke.

Mel Sterland will manage the Community XI.

With returning Wednesday favourites, a unique match-up and a brilliant atmosphere expected, it’s set to be a great day out for supporters of all ages, all in support of two fantastic causes.
