Community Programme Celebrates Biggest Luncheon Ever!
On Thursday, 18 December, Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme hosted its fourth annual Christmas Luncheon at Hillsborough Stadium, providing more than 500 free Christmas meals for members of the local community.
The event was a huge success, with plenty of goodies handed out, smiles all round, and bellies well and truly filled.
The luncheon promoted community cohesion, bringing together people from all backgrounds, faiths and ethnicities to enjoy the occasion.
Ben Winter, Deputy Head of Community, said:
“We want to thank all the local organisations who attended and supported the event. This dinner was not only about giving back to our community, but also about celebrating another successful year.”
The Community Programme would also like to extend its sincere thanks to the organisations who generously donated prizes for the raffle, helping to make the day even more special.
