Findel Announces Charity Partnership with SWFCCP!

Educational resources supplier Findel has announced a new partnership with the official charity of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.

Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme (SWFCCP) delivers more than 40 community-based programmes, using the power of football to inspire positive change and improve access to education, health and physical activity across Sheffield, South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

As part of the new year-long partnership, Findel is supporting several of SWFCCP’s core programmesacross its family of brands.

The partnership is led by Findel’s sports and PE resources supplier Davies Sports, and the charity will receive £1,500 worth of sports equipment to be used across its initiatives.

In addition, partner schools working with SWFCCP will benefit from a 15 per cent discount on all Davies Sports orders. Further discounts will also be available across Findel’s wider family of education brands, supporting schools with classroom, science, teaching and SEND resources.

Ben Winter, Deputy Head of Community at SWFCCP, said: “Working with Findel and Davies Sports strengthens our ability to create meaningful opportunities for young people across Sheffield.

“Their support will help us expand access to high‑quality sports equipment and enrich the experiences we deliver in schools and community settings every day.”

Established in 1996 and a registered charity since 2004, SWFCCP supports people of all ages, from expected mothers through to senior citizens, delivering activity and wellbeing programmes.

The charity runs activities across schools and community centres within Sheffield and South Yorkshire, as well as through its own dedicated community facility.

Over the past year alone, the charity has helped more than 500 people access fitness and physical activity opportunities. It currently works with more than 20 primary schools and collaborates with local organisations to improve health and fitness across the region.

Chris Mahady, CEO of Findel, added: “SWFCCP is embedded in the local community and reaches people at all stages of life by providing education and support to enhance mental and physical health.”

“This partnership is about practical support, ensuring schools and community initiatives have access to the equipment and resources to get more people engaged in being active.”

Findel’s origins as an educational resources supplier can be traced back to 1817. Today, its brands and websites offer more than 32,000 products to educators and parents based in the UK and overseas with the business exporting to 130 countries.
