Staff and Friends of SWFCCP raise over £1,500 through the Sheffield 10k!

On Sunday, 28th September 2025, staff and friends of Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme took on the Sheffield 10k to raise vital funds for the Owls Community Programme.

The Community Programme, established in 2005, works with people of all ages and backgrounds. It is dedicated to tackling inequality, reducing violence, improving mental and physical health, supporting young learners in education, and doing so much more across the region.

All ten participants completed the run and together raised over £1,500, helping SWFCCP continue its fantastic work.

Matt Pierre, CSR Development Officer at SWFCCP, said:

“I’m incredibly proud of everyone who took part in the Sheffield 10K. Not only did our team show real determination on the day, but together they’ve raised over £1,500, which will make a huge difference to the work we do in the community.”

“It was fantastic to see such a strong sense of solidarity and support. The atmosphere among the group really captured what our Community Programme is all about – people coming together to make a positive impact.”

“We’re always looking for new ways for people to get involved and support our charity. The 10K was a brilliant example of how fundraising can also be fun and rewarding, and we can’t wait to welcome even more people to future challenges.”

Everyone at Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme would like to thank the participants for their support.
