Team SWFCCP raise £3,000 through Sheffield 10K

On Sunday, 27th September 2026, our Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme team of fundraisers took on the Sheffield 10K to raise vital funds for the Community Programme.

The team of 18 runners was made up of Community Programme and Club staff, alongside members of the public and Sheffield Wednesday supporters, all coming together to support the work of SWFCCP.

The Community Programme, established in 2005, works with people of all ages and backgrounds across Sheffield. Its work includes programmes that improve health and wellbeing, support young people, create opportunities through education and employment, and bring communities together.

All 18 participants completed the run and together raised £3,000. Every pound raised will help SWFCCP continue delivering positive opportunities and support to people and communities across Sheffield.

Matt Pierre, Fundraising and Partnerships Manager at SWFCCP, said:

"The Sheffield 10K is always a highlight of the year and a fantastic opportunity to bring people together in support of our charity. The support from spectators around the course is incredible, and we're delighted to have raised £3,000 this year. These funds will make a real difference to the people and communities we support across Sheffield."

Everyone at Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme would like to thank all 18 runners for taking part, as well as everyone who supported their fundraising efforts.
