Youth Hub

Our Youth Hub has been launched in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and is designed to help improve employment outcomes or prospects of those who are finding work difficult due to barriers, such as, complex, and intractable barriers. Initially the hub is targets to those aged 16–24-year-olds and we aim to provide support by helping them access or move closer towards employment. The Youth Hub is part of the UK Government’s £30bn Plan for Jobs. Jobseekers across the city can now get extra help to find work, upskill for alternative careers and access training opportunities we also offer within the club.

As part of the Youth Hub and Employability course, Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme will provide personal career guidance appointments where we will create personalised action plans for all individuals. Working with various partners, local organisations and local employers, we hope a ‘joined-up’ approach can support customers increase their chances of been offered interviews, help them overcome barriers to employment and subsequently secure employment in the region.
