SAFE Mentoring Celebration Event!

On Monday, July 10th, our new SAFE mentoring team organised a special tournament at Concord Sports Centre to celebrate the incredible efforts of all the students involved in the SAFE mentoring project throughout this academic year.

Schools from various parts of Sheffield brought nearly 100 students to Concord Sports Centre to participate in the football tournament.

Despite the challenges faced while working with some of Sheffield's most difficult students, the event turned out to be a tremendous success. All students had a fantastic time, and at the end of the event, special recognition was given to those who truly stood out.

Additionally, partners of SWFCCP, such as South Yorkshire Police, Sheffield City Council, Violence Reduction Unit (VRU), and the skill lab, also attended the event to gain a deeper understanding of our work and the positive impacts we are making in society.

One staff member at Holgate Meadows expressed, "It was heartwarming to see students facing various challenges come together and enjoy themselves. Today, I witnessed some of these students break out of their shells like never before."

A student from Birley Academy shared, "I had a really enjoyable experience, and I hope we can do something like this again in the future. This event allowed me to connect with other students I didn't know before, something I wouldn't have done previously."
