£21.7m in Social Value through EFL impact measurement!

Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme has generated an estimated £21,718,586 in social value during the 2024/25 season, according to impact measurement completed by the EFL.

The figure reflects the scale and reach of community delivery linked to EFL-funded and EFL-aligned programmes, highlighting the positive difference made to participants across education, health, wellbeing, and wider community engagement throughout the season.

Alongside the overall total, the findings highlight strong outcomes across several key areas. This includes £2,907,455 supporting education and employment, £764,227 improving physical health, £456,378 supporting mental health, and £3,250,051 contributing to wider social and community impact. A further £13,581,740 relates to improvements in subjective well-being, underlining the positive effect these programmes have had on people taking part.

The report also highlights a return of £8.92 for every £1 invested, alongside a value of £1,344 per participant, demonstrating the scale of impact achieved through local delivery.
