Charles & Brown visit Memory Club!

For EFL Week of Action 2025, Sheffield Wednesday FC players George Brown and Pierce Charles made a special visit to the Community Programme’s monthly Memory Club.

Memory Club, which began in August 2024, meets monthly at Hillsborough Stadium and aims to support those affected by anything from loneliness to dementia and Alzheimer’s. It offers a safe space to come together, enjoy some food, and reminisce.

During the session, both players spent time chatting with participants, sharing stories about their football journeys, and listening to fans’ memories of Wednesday over the years. The players joined in with activities, looked through old matchday programmes, and took plenty of photos with attendees.

John Pearson, former SWFC player and now part of the Community Programme, said:

“Memory Club has grown month by month. We really appreciate the lads coming down — it sparks conversation, gives everyone a lift, and makes a real difference.”
