Degree Pathway Success

It’s been an incredible year for Sheffield Wednesday FC Community College’s Higher Education students, with a fantastic 93% pass rate and the highest ever number of students enrolled onto their degree pathways.

Sheffield Wednesday FC Community College offers a variety of undergraduate degree pathways in partnership with the University of South Wales, Sheffield Hallam University, and Loughborough College, as well as a master’s degree programme in collaboration with the University of South Wales.

Students completed more than 2,000 hours of placement over the year, with two students accepted onto PGCE courses to progress into teaching and coaching careers.

This success follows the launch of a new Sports Coaching pathway, which has been met with tremendous success. Looking ahead to September 2026, the college is thrilled to introduce a brand-new Sports Business Management pathway to its offerings.

“I am extremely proud to be setting students up to succeed in the sporting world,” said James Moore, Degree Coordinator at SWFCCP. “It’s brilliant to see students achieve things they didn’t think were possible. A number of students have even been offered paid work after completing volunteering hours, having impressed their placement providers.”
