Introducing – Future Owls & Girls Skills Centre

Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme are pleased to introduce two new sessions to their refreshed Football Development Pathway: Future Owls and the Girls Skills Centre.

Future Owls – for boys aged 5–15 – runs every Monday and Saturday at the Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Facility on Clay Wheels Lane. The programme supports player development through tailored training sessions focusing on both the technical and tactical sides of the game. Sessions are designed to guide young players on the right pathway in their football journey, helping them unlock their full potential.

Girls Skills Centre – for girls aged 5–10 – takes place on Mondays at the same venue. It offers a fun, friendly, and sociable environment, perfect for those just starting their football journey as well as players looking to build on their existing skills.

Parents and guardians can now book places for both Future Owls and the Girls Skills Centre via the link below.

This is just the beginning of an exciting refresh for the Football Development Programme – stay tuned for more updates!

Key Information

  • Future Owls (Monday): 6pm–7pm | Ages 7–15 | Recommended skill level: Medium–High

  • Future Owls (Saturday): 9am–10am | Ages 5–15 | Recommended skill level: Beginner

  • Girls Skills Centre (Monday): 5pm–6pm | Ages 5–10 | Recommended skill level: All

What’s Changed

  • Future Owls (Monday) replaces the Advanced Development Centre

  • Future Owls (Saturday) replaces Mini Owls

  • Girls Skills Centre runs alongside the Girls Development Centre which runs at the same time for ages 10-15
