Liam Palmer calls on fans to join Team SWFCCP for the Sheffield 10K!
Sheffield Wednesday right back Liam Palmer is encouraging people across Sheffield to lace up their running shoes and join Team SWFCCP for the Sheffield 10K this September.
Having completed a number 10K challenges himself over the years, Liam knows the sense of achievement that comes from setting yourself a challenge, getting the miles in and crossing that finish line - and now he wants others across Sheffield to experience it whilst raising money for the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme.
The Sheffield 10K takes place on Sunday 27 September 2026, and runners are being invited to take part as members of the Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme (SWFCCP) fundraising team.
Liam said: “I’ve completed many 10K running challenges over the years, including XX, so I know how rewarding it can be to get out there and do it.
“What makes this even more special is that you’re not just running for yourself - you’re helping raise money that goes to helping the Community Programme do its amazing work for the people of Sheffield.
“SWFCCP does so much great work across Sheffield, from supporting young people and improving health and wellbeing to delivering education and employment.
“If you’re thinking about taking on a 10K, I’d really encourage you to join Team SWFCCP. It doesn't matter if you’re an experienced runner looking or it’s your first 10K, get involved, have fun. It really is a great cause."
