Planning Permission Granted for New Padel Court at SWFCCP Community Facility

Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme (SWFCCP) is delighted to announce that planning permission has been granted by Sheffield City Council for the development of a new padel court at its Community Facility on Clay Wheels Lane.

The new covered padel court will be located within the grounds of the existing facility, providing an exciting new sporting opportunity for the local community and adding to the range of activities available at the site.

Padel has continued to grow in popularity across the UK, and the new court will allow SWFCCP to explore new opportunities to bring the sport to more people across Sheffield.

Marcus Brameld, Head of Community, said: “We’re really pleased to have secured planning permission for a new padel court. It’s an exciting addition to our facility and will create another opportunity for people in our community to get active and enjoy sport.”

The planning approval marks another exciting step in the continued development of the Community Facility and SWFCCP’s ambition to create accessible spaces where people can be active, learn new skills and connect with their local community.
