Premier League Kicks First Aid Fixture
Young people from Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme’s Premier League Kicks sessions recently came together for a special fixture with participants from Bradford City Community Foundation – a day that combined football, learning and valuable life skills.
After an enjoyable match at Parkwood Academy, the group headed to the Sheffield Wednesday FC Community College Education Hub for a hands-on first aid workshop delivered by Kelly Wooller of Mini First Aid Sheffield.
The session gave participants the chance to build confidence and learn essential first aid techniques, including CPR and treating wounds. Every young person left the workshop having achieved a First Aid qualification – a fantastic addition to their personal development.
Paul Hebda, Youth & Integration Manager at SWFCCP, said:
“It was a fantastic experience for the young people, giving them opportunities, qualifications and valuable skills to support their growth and development through the Premier League Kicks programme.”
To round off the day, participants were invited to watch Sheffield Wednesday’s home fixture against Preston North End – the perfect way to celebrate their efforts both on and off the pitch.
