DALROD signs as Charity Partner
Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme (SWFCCP) is delighted to announce a new charity partnership with DALROD, a nationwide drainage specialist.
Founded in 1985, DALROD began as a small family-run business and has grown into a trusted UK-wide provider of 24/7, 365-day emergency drainage services. With service centres across the country, the company responds rapidly to drainage issues wherever they arise, working efficiently to restore free-flowing systems with minimal disruption.
Despite its national reach, DALROD has retained its family values, with a strong focus on reliability, care and community. Staff are passionate about giving back locally and getting involved in community initiatives.
Through this partnership, DALROD will support the promotion of employment opportunities within the drainage and engineering sector, working alongside the Community Programmeโs Youth and Employability team to help challenge stereotypes and open up career pathways.
DALROD are also keen to encourage more females into the sector, highlighting the wide range of roles available and showcasing the modern, innovative nature of the industry, including the use of advanced technology and robotics.
A key part of the partnership will see DALROD support SWFCCP through their wider charitable commitment to community impact and involvement in club initiatives.
Klaire Jones, Head of Strategic Growth at DALROD said:
โI am a strong advocate for engaging with communities through sport and creating opportunities for people to thrive. The work being delivered by SWFCCP is helping to shape lives and futures across Sheffield and the wider community, which is incredibly important to us. DALROD are proud to represent and support the programme across all of its initiatives.โ
Matt Pierre, Fundraising & Partnerships Manager at SWFCCP, said:
"Weโre delighted to welcome DALROD as a charity partner of Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme. From our very first conversations, it was clear that their values around community, opportunity and supporting local people closely align with our own."
"This partnership will not only help us continue delivering vital programmes across Sheffield, but also create exciting opportunities for young people to learn about careers within the drainage and engineering sector. DALRODโs commitment to challenging stereotypes and encouraging greater diversity within the industry is something weโre particularly pleased to support."
"Weโre looking forward to working together over the coming months to make a positive impact in our communities and inspire the next generation to explore new career pathways.
SWFCCP look forward to working closely with DALROD to create meaningful opportunities that inspire young people, strengthen community connections and highlight the importance of essential services that often go unseen.
